About NCC

The National Cadet Corps is the Indian military cadet corps with its Headquarters at New Delhi, Delhi, India. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis. National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades.

Aims of NCC

The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further, it aims at creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose. Needless to say, the NCC also provides an environment conducive to motivating young Indians to join the armed forces.

Unity and Discipline

NCC Flag

The three colours in the flag depict the three services of the Corps, red for the Army, deep blue for the Navy and light blue for the Air Force. The letters NCC and the NCC crest in gold in the middle of the flag encircled by a wreath of lotus, give the flag a colourful look and a distinct identity.

NCC in Our College

The NCC unit is running in this institution from 2010 with the strength of 50 cadets. The unit always strives hard for excellence in making good citizens, developing leadership qualities and inculcating patriotism. The unit conducted so many outreached activities like traffic controlling, bandhobast duties for Gurupournami, mahasivarathri, pulse polio, aids awareness rallys, blood donation along with other social service activities. The unit is playing a vital role in the college to maintain healthy atmosphere and discipline in the college and getting appreciation from both public as well as higher authorities. The unit deserves the cent percentage in the C and B examination. This NCC Unit is led by Caretaker Officer, Sri. M Niranjan, Lecturer in Computer Science. Under his able, inspired guidance and training, the NCC theory classes as well as Drill (Video recorded) activities and being taken through Projector/Computer. Cadets notice that they are getting much benefit with the above said provision. For the last 10 successful years, more than 100 cadets of our institution settled in armed forces like army, navy, air force, paramilitary forces, RPF, AP police Services in both technical and general duties.
