About Department

      The Department of History has been in existence with the establishment of the college in 1972 . Several Eminent teachers like Sri M.Madhusudhana rao, SM.Raffiq worked in this department. The immense knowledge and Excellenc of these learned scholars Elevated this department.

      Presently there Is One sanctioned post in the Department. The faculty of the department always Work hard to enrich the students’ knowledge and skills to fit for the timely changing needs and aspirations of the society. They strive hard for all round development of the students. They do their best effort to Improve the standards of the students. Now a days The role of History Subject in Competetive Examinations are very crucial Due to that the Faculty bing them upto the mark.

      Majority of the students studying in this college come from rural areas and belong to the first generation literates. They cannot evince interest in the subject due to inborn fear and lack of proper understanding of the value of the subject. Further the faculty of the department make themselves ever available to help the students to enrich theirHistory Subject Knowledge.

     The department extends its Knowledge and cooperation to other departments also even to the non-teaching staff. It helps them in their day to day official correspondence. The department also extends its services to train the students towards the Competetive Spirit in employability. Motto of the History department to train up the Students for getting better opportunities like APPSC.(Group-I,II,III,&IV) .Every year used to take the History Students Participate in Guntur history Congress ,A P .History Congress ,South Indian History Congress And Indian History congress (ICHR).
