About Department

Department of commerce was established in year of 1972 from the beginning of this college. The medium of instruction has been preferred by the students is ‘Telugu” in spite of their intentions the department lecturers often explains in ‘English medium’ version for their future prospects. Our experienced lectures having enormous research zeal have been attending State, National and International seminars in regular intervals. The department lecturers have been refreshing their subject knowledge by attending ‘refresher courses’, and ‘work-shops’ as and when they get opportunities.

Commerce Business Environment
1 This subject enables the B.Com pursuing students to get awareness about the different environment surrounded by the business from which how the business decisions are taken.

Commerce Corporate Accounting
1 This is the advanced stage of learning accounts in which the students given knowledge about how the Corporate business pursue its accounts. By knowing the students can handle all the accounting practices if they were chosen in companies as clerks.

Commerce Banking Theory and Practice
1 This subject enables the students to know about the ‘Banking System in India’ and its structure.

Commerce Business Statistics
1 This subject explains different data mining methods from which students can assess the characteristics of the universe. This knowledge provides the students to undertake various surveys.

Commerce Income Tax
1 In this subject all sorts of personal taxation procedures are taught to the students, after mastering in these methods students even can pursue as a private tax-practioner.

Commerce Accounting for Service Organization
1 This subject provides information about the ‘Service’ Organizations accounting practices.

Commerce Cost Accounting
1 This is the subject explains about the cost control techniques in producing of products and services. With this knowledge the students can practice different cost control techniques either in their own and employer factories.

Commerce Commercial Geography
1 This subject provides information about the ‘geography’ of the commerce existing in a particular country.

Commerce Rural and Farm Credit
1 This subject gives information about the various credit facilities available for the farmers who are prevailing in the rural areas. With this knowledge a student can equip the knowledge of different credit facilities available.

Commerce Goods and Service Tax
1 This indirect tax mechanism enable the student to know about the theory and practices of Goods and Services. The proficiency in this subject can make the students to take this as a profession as a GST consultant.

Commerce Management Accounting
1 This subject gives information on different managerial techniques such as planning, budgeting, control from this the student can understand the different managerial approaches to face ‘crunch’ situations.

Commerce Marketing Management
1 This subject enables the students to know the basic principles and methods of Marking. This knowledge gives ample support to the students if they indulge in any marketing activities.

Course Objectives:

  1. Provide Information about the business and its allied activities

Course Outcomes:
After successful completion of the course, the students are able to

    • Know the different types of business organizations and its pros and cons
    • Understands how a Join-Stock-Company starts and works.
Programme Specific Outcomes : B.Com - General

PSO1: The pupil will procure good enough knowledge to become a small scale entrepreneur.

PSO2: At First and Second year level degree courses the student has been exposed to different patterns of business structures and also account procedures.

PSO3: At the Final year the students will be taught enough knowledge about the dynamics of the stock exchange, financial services, and their marketing so that they can even start ‘stock brokering’ ‘financial services consultancy’s from their living place.

PSO4: The overall knowledge about the commerce and management will give enough strength to the students to pursue higher studies of commerce.
